OSHA 10 Hour Training
As you have probably already been made aware, the New York State Department of Labor has made some changes regarding OSHA training requirements. The change states that on projects of at least $250,000, all laborers, workers and mechanics on the site must be certified as having successfully completed the OSHA 10-hour construction and health course. The OSHA 10 legislation does not apply to projects advertised for bid prior to July 18, 2008, and only applies to workers on a public work project that are required under Article 8 to receive the prevailing wage. For more information please refer to NYSDOL Worker Protection.
You can enroll in an open course by going to the Course Info page of this site and following the instructions given there. Apprentices - do not enroll in this course, your training will be scheduled within your class. Questions can be directed to Peter Dulcich, Training Director.
