The Central New York Joint
The Central New York JATC provides a skilled, knowledgeable and able work force for the unionized electrical industry within the Central New York area. This covers locations between Syracuse and Cooperstown, from Thendara to Cortland and all points that fall in between, including the metropolitan areas of Syracuse...
The only time you would retake the NJATC/AIR Aptitude test is if you do not at first qualify for the oral interview by achieving a score of five (5) or above on a stanine scale. You will not be eligible to re-test for a period of six (6) months from the previous test date. Qualifying test scores are accepted for a period of two (2) years. If you re-apply after that time period you will be scheduled to retake the test.
No experience in the electrical field is required to apply for apprenticeship. The Central New York JATC provides training with a combination of classroom and on-the-job training.
Applications are accepted online year round by using the on-line application form. Click here to access the application. Be sure that you follow through with the instructions provided in order to get your application processed in a timely manner.
